Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Invoice | Invoice receiving the payment. |
| Amount paid | Payment amount in the store currency. |
| Payment method | Optional payment method label. |
| Reference number | Optional bank, ACH, check, or internal reference. |

Balance protection
The app prevents merchants from recording more than the remaining invoice balance. This keeps invoice balances, payment totals, and available credit from becoming inconsistent.
Payment history
Payment history is available from the invoice so merchants can review partial payments, references, and collection timing.
What payment logging does
- Updates the invoice amount paid.
- Reduces the invoice balance due.
- Helps the company credit view reflect received funds.
- Gives finance teams a simple receipt trail.
What payment logging does not do
- It does not charge a card or wallet.
- It does not create an online checkout session.
- It does not automatically reconcile bank deposits.
- It should not be used before the merchant confirms that funds were received.
